JEMUN COUNTRY DELEGATE ROLES
JEMUN COUNTRY DELEGATE (Meeting Rooms 1 & 2- University Students), (Meeting Room 6-High School Students)
Being a JEMUN country delegate is a wonderful learning opportunity. After applying online and paying your conference fee, the JEMUN organizing committee will send you a letter of invitation which will include your assigned meeting room (agenda), country, and committee group. There are usually 5 different committee topics/groups in each meeting room with approximately 12 students in each committee group. Each country delegate will experience cooperative, hands-on learning allowing them to confront their committee topic in English from the perspective of their assigned country. The country delegates in each committee will work together to develop a working paper that includes solutions to the committee topic being discussed. Each committee will then introduce their working paper to the entire meeting room as a draft resolution. After further discussion and the introduction of friendly and unfriendly amendments, the delegates will work together and attempt to achieve consensus through negotiation.
