AGENDA: Corruption
Corruption is a complex social, political and economic phenomenon that affects all countries and hinders the rule of law. It undermines democratic institutions, erodes economies and contributes to political instability. While there is no internationally agreed definition of corruption, there are many actions which are recognized as forms corruption. They include, for example, the abuse of power, bribery, embezzlement of public funds, maliciously interfering with the justice system or hiding the financial gains of corruption. Addressing corruption in society is linked to the promotion of individual and social integrity. Delegates will be assigned to one of the following specialized committee groups.
