JEMUN Videographers

The JEMUN videographer pair will be provided with the following equipment:

-1 Canon Video Camera
-1 Interview microphone
-1 Camera Bag
-1 tripod
-1 video camera battery charger
-2 video camera batteries
-2 memory cards
-An apple computer with iMovie software
At the JEMUN Conference, Videographers will follow the planning to production steps shown below.

Step #1: Make sure you know the conference schedule and rooms in advance.

Step #2: Use the schedule and plan three storyboards. (Day 1, Day 2 and Closing Ceremony)

Step #3: Estimate the duration of each video clip you’d like to get before doing the actual recording. Try to aim for a daily video of approximately 4~5 minutes.  The final video for the closing ceremony should also be approximately 6~7 minutes summarising all three conference days.

Step #4: Check your video equipment before each recording.

Step #5: Decide on any changes to your original storyboard.

Step #7: Upload your footage to Apple’s iMovie software.

Step #8: Use your storyboard and begin editing the video footage with your partner.

Step #9: Finish editing the video according to the JEMUN Journalism guidelines.

Step #10: Decide on the title of your video.

Step #11: Get your video and title checked by your assigned faculty advisor.

Step #13: After the faculty advisor accepts your video, export it as an MP4 file and put in on your provided USB memory stick.

Step #15: Give the faculty advisor a video submission request form and your video on the USB memory stick.

Step #16: The faculty advisor will inform the videographers when their video has been uploaded by returning the request form.

Step #17: Give your partner a high five and start brainstorming your next video!

The JEMUN Videographers are required to do a JEMUN pre-conference assignment. This is due on or before July 1st, 2019.
