JEMUN has developed a unique and powerful Model United Nations process that emphasizes cooperation and consensus building over competition.  This approach to problem solving and intercultural communication is being used successfully at our annual conference. 

If you are a high school, or university educator interested in adding our collaborative Model United Nations approach to your teaching repertoire or your school's curriculum, check out our Model United Nations workshops. Our workshops can be delivered online or in-person.

 WORKSHOP 1: MODEL UN ADVISOR

This four-day certification program will help teachers learn about JEMUN's signature Model UN process. After participating in this workshop, educators will have the knowledge and confidence to add our signature Model UN approach to their teaching repertoire and lead their students in preparing for JEMUN Conferences.

WORKSHOP 2: BUREAU ADVISOR

This two-day certification workshop covers all of the necessary information to train
 students to lead a meeting room using the CLIL Institute Model UN approach.

WORKSHOP 3: CONFERENCE ORGANIZER

This three-day certification workshop will teach participants how to organize their own Model UN conference. With the help of an experienced trainer, workshop participants will create a conference plan to implement at their own school.

This two-day certification workshop will provide participants with the necessary knowledge to seamlessly implement an innovative multi-format digital journalism simulation into a Model UN conference.

Bid to Host the 2023 JEMUN Conference

Using our successful approach to hosting Model United Nations conferences, JEMUN is proud to offer one high school or university in Japan  with an opportunity to host the 2023 JEMUN conference. The JEMUN conference will be run by the JEMUN organizing team and the chosen high school or university host team. If you are interested in bringing the annual JEMUN conference to your high school or university in 2023, we strongly encourage you to download and read the bid guide. Our bid guide includes detailed information on the expectations and responsibilities of the host team and of the JEMUN organizing committee, in addition to information on the format of your bid proposal.

Important Dates
March 1st, 2022: Deadline to end your bid proposal to JEMUN
April 1st, 2022: The host institution will be announced.
April 1st, 2022-October 30th 2022: Conference planning
November 1st, 2022-April 30th, 2023: Recruitment of national and International participants
July 15th, 2023 - July 17th, 2023:  The tentative JEMUN 2023 conference dates
